A look into complaints submitted to the Joint Monitoring Committee

4 June to 31 December 2007

This publication, A Look into the Complaints Submitted to the Joint Monitoring Committee, from 4 June 2004 to 31 December 2007, is a factual analysis of the contents of complaint forms led against the armed forces of the Government of the Republic of the Philippines (GRP) and the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) for alleged violations of human rights. These complaint forms were led with the Joint Monitoring Committee (JMC) formed in accordance with the Comprehensive Agreement on Respect for Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law (CARHRIHL).

This pamphlet exposes in very concrete terms the blatant lies of the GRP and its agencies, especially Task Force Usig (TFU), regarding the extrajudicial killings of unarmed civilians, as well as the malicious attempts to shi blame for a number of these criminal incidents to the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), New People’s Army (NPA) and other revolutionary forces in the NDFP.
